First Major Update: PayPal, Playlists, Referrals, Deep Analytics & More
Our first major post-launch release turns SoundSeam from a lean MVP into a fully-featured platform. Highlights include PayPal payouts, free-download email capture, best-in-class analytics with retention metrics, playlists, a referral program, in-app notifications, recommendation-algorithm upgrades, and additional refinements.
Improvements
New Payouts System with PayPal support — simply enter your PayPal email, no onboarding forms required.
Free downloads tied to email capture — connect your Mailchimp account to collect emails in exchange for non-profit beat downloads (additional ESPs coming).
Deep store-level and track-level analytics: lease-type breakdowns, revenue, sales, conversions, listener locations, traffic sources, and more.
Retention metrics: per-track listener drop-off over time.
Referral program — share a link; each referred user who signs up and uploads a track earns you one free month of Pro (up to five). Affiliate program in development.
Playlists: create private or public playlists to organise and showcase beats on your profile.
SoundSeam Editor’s Choice playlists featured on Explore, with live curation sessions planned.
In-app notifications for key events, with user-configurable settings.
Recommendation algorithm v1: greater track visibility site-wide, improved explore/browse randomisation, weighting for beats with strong average play time.
Interface tightened and cleaned throughout for a more seamless experience.
100+ additional minor tweaks, QoL enhancements, and bug fixes across the platform.
Bug Fixes
Numerous minor bugs resolved and UI adjustments.

We added the ability to view the platform in dark mode.

We added the dark mode toggle in the top-left of the screen.
Brand-New Licence Editor
We made the 'Licences' which was part of the 'Settings' pages its own page. We re-designed it to be clear, easy-to-use, easy for you to actually understand what contract you're selling, and added Licence Presets, giving you a starting point in setting contract terms for you licences. We also added custom sections where you can write out whatever stipulations you want to add onto your contracts to make them personally adapted to you.
Improvements
You can now edit your licence prices and availabilities (which lease types you want to sell).
You now have 3 presets to choose from for every licence: Default (balanced terms), Placement Focus (upfront heavy terms), and Broad Rights (backend heavy terms).
Custom sections: we added the ability to add sections onto any lease where you write out your own terms, adapting your licences to your needs directly.
Create and Edit Page Updates
We re-designed the already efficient 'Create' page to be faster and easier to use, again.
Improvements
You can now upload a .mp3 file only, no stems, no .wav required.
We unified the design and extended it to the Edit page.

Initial Launch
The genesis of SoundSeam and it's availability to the public. SoundSeam launches with essential features only including track uploading, track editing, a dashboard with sales, revenue, watch time, views, and a few more.
