SoundSeam Privacy Policy

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account and profile information: Email address, username, display name, profile details, social links, and authentication information handled by our authentication provider.
• Producer information: Music, artwork, tags, metadata, licence terms, payout details, and other materials you upload or configure.
• Purchase information: Email address, name when supplied, cart contents, order and licence details, amounts, status, and identifiers returned by our checkout provider. Whop is SoundSeam's primary marketplace checkout provider and processes payment credentials; SoundSeam does not receive full payment-card numbers.
• Communications: Messages and attachments you send through the Services or to sounds@soundseam.com.
• Rights and copyright evidence: Upload rights attestations, sample disclosures, copyright complaints, counter-notices, contact details, electronic signatures, review decisions, strikes, and related audit records.
• Optional integrations: Information you authorize a third-party service to share when you connect it to SoundSeam.

1.2 Information Collected Through the Services

• Device and network information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, and request logs.
• Usage information: Pages and features used, searches, referrals, interactions, session information, and product events.
• Security and fraud signals: Device, browser, network, interaction, checkout, and payment-risk signals used to detect bots, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access. This may include signals processed by Cloudflare Turnstile and our fraud-prevention providers.
• Cookies and local storage: Information stored by your browser for authentication, preferences, analytics, checkout, and security. See Section 8.

1.3 Information from Other Sources

• Checkout, payment, identity, and payout status from Whop and other providers used for a transaction.
• Authentication or profile information from a sign-in provider you choose to use.
• Information from producers, purchasers, service providers, and integration partners when needed to operate the Services, prevent fraud, or resolve a dispute.

We use personal information to:

• Provide accounts, profiles, uploads, playback, collaboration, marketplace, checkout, delivery, licensing, payout, and support features.
• Process and reconcile transactions, deliver purchases, generate receipts and licences, and maintain transaction records.
• Authenticate users and protect accounts, content, orders, downloads, and the Services.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms.
• Send transactional messages, including account, order, licence, delivery, payout, and security communications.
• Measure performance and usage, troubleshoot issues, and improve the Services.
• Comply with law, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and protect SoundSeam, our users, and others.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Services, and consent where required.

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: Providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, file storage and delivery, analytics, email, customer support, checkout, payments, payouts, fraud prevention, artificial-intelligence features, media processing, and infrastructure.
• Marketplace participants: Information needed for a producer and purchaser to complete a transaction, receive an order, document a licence, address support issues, or resolve a dispute. Public profile and published content are visible according to the feature's settings.
• Connected services: A service you choose to connect, at your direction.
• Legal and safety reasons: When reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, and property; investigate fraud or abuse; or enforce our agreements.
• Copyright case participants: We may share the information in a complaint or counter-notice with the uploader, claimant, authorized advisers, service providers, or authorities when reasonably necessary to evaluate the case, process a response, enforce our policies, or comply with law.
• Business changes: In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
• With your direction or consent: When you ask us to disclose information or otherwise consent to the disclosure.

Some features use artificial-intelligence or media-processing providers. Depending on the feature, these providers may process content or information you submit and related technical information.

Automated security and fraud-prevention rules may require verification, hold fulfillment, or prevent a checkout. Artificial-intelligence review does not by itself deny a purchase. If you believe a checkout was stopped or held in error, email sounds@soundseam.com with the order or checkout reference to request human reconsideration.

Payment providers may act as independent controllers for information they need to process payments, prevent fraud, comply with financial law, and manage disputes. Their own privacy notices apply to that processing.

Producers may configure Meta Pixel on their storefronts. When a visitor allows advertising measurement, it sends page, lead, checkout, purchase, device, and network information to Meta for measurement and advertising. Supported Global Privacy Control signals prevent Meta Pixel from loading. Depending on applicable law, this may be considered sharing or targeted advertising. The storefront notice lets you make this choice without affecting checkout.

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to:

• Access or obtain a copy of personal information about you.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Delete personal information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Obtain portable data where required.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Opt out of a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where those rights apply.
• Appeal a decision or complain to a privacy regulator where available.

To make a privacy request, email sounds@soundseam.com. Describe the request and the email address associated with your account or order. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity or authority, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The period depends on the type of information, the duration of your account or relationship with SoundSeam, transaction and licence recordkeeping needs, fraud and security needs, backup cycles, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

A deletion request may not remove information we must retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes, or information retained in backups until those backups expire through their normal cycle.

Rights attestations, copyright notices, counter-notices, review evidence, and strike history may be retained while a case, appeal, licence, or legal hold is active and afterward for the period reasonably necessary to document the decision, enforce the repeat-infringer policy, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Access is restricted to people and providers who need the records for those purposes.

Deleting a SoundSeam account does not automatically erase all processor records. SoundSeam submits applicable processor-erasure requests through its documented deletion workflow, but providers may retain operational, security, payment, or backup records under their own schedules and legal obligations. Information controlled independently by a payment or connected-service provider must be handled under that provider's privacy process.

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. These include encrypted network transport, access controls, restricted file delivery, authentication and authorization checks, abuse prevention, security monitoring, and automated security checks in our software-development process.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will investigate and provide notices when required by applicable law.

SoundSeam and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Contact sounds@soundseam.com with questions about international processing.

SoundSeam and its providers use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies for:

• Essential functions: Sign-in, sessions, security, checkout, and requested features.
• Preferences: Remembering settings and product choices.
• Analytics: Understanding feature usage, performance, and errors.
• Producer-configured advertising measurement: Sending storefront and checkout events to Meta when a producer enables Meta Pixel and the visitor allows it.
• Fraud and abuse prevention: Evaluating device, network, browser, and interaction signals.

You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in, checkout, or other parts of the Services from working. Cloudflare Turnstile may process limited device, browser, network, and interaction signals for bot prevention; see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Meta Pixel is off unless you allow advertising measurement. A supported Global Privacy Control signal overrides an earlier browser choice and blocks future Meta Pixel events. Your choice is stored in this browser and does not disable essential sign-in, security, private order recovery, or checkout functions.

Mobile app: The SoundSeam mobile app does not display third-party advertising and is not configured to track activity across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising or advertising measurement. It may use first-party operational analytics to understand feature use, performance, crashes, and reliability. Those operational measurements are used to run and improve SoundSeam, not to build a cross-app advertising profile. Producer-configured web pixels and optional embedded or connected services are separate web features and are described on the provider notice.

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information to a third party or enabling an integration.

The Services are intended for people age 16 or older. If you believe a person under 16 has provided personal information to SoundSeam, contact sounds@soundseam.com so we can review the report.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. If applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
