SoundSeam separates uploading from processing. Uploading moves the file from your device; processing analyzes it and prepares the playback version.
What the states mean
- Starting / Processing / Finishing: work is still in progress.
- Ready: playback and analysis assets are available.
- Failed: SoundSeam could not finish the current attempt.
A beat may be publishable while processing is underway, but it will not play until a valid playback file is ready.
If the upload itself fails
- Keep the editor open and drop the file again.
- Confirm it is a real WAV or MP3, not another format with a renamed extension.
- Play the entire export locally.
- Try a fresh export with a simple filename.
- Temporarily disable a VPN or strict browser extension and retry on a stable connection.
If processing does not move
Refresh once and return to the track editor. The processing state is stored on the track, so refreshing should not restart a successful upload. If the state is Failed, replace the main audio with a fresh export.
If artwork, WAV, or stems fail separately
Retry only the failed asset. Artwork must be a readable image, the supplemental lossless file must be WAV, and stems must be a ZIP archive.
What to send support
If two fresh exports fail, send Support the track title, approximate upload time, browser and device, file type and size, and exact message shown. Do not email the full audio file unless support asks for it.
