Understand advanced search, transcription, resets and what stays available at a limit.
Projects and saved conversations have no count limit. Advanced searches, transcription and private cloud media have separate account allowances.
On the SoundSeam website, open Settings → Usage to see what remains and when monthly allowances reset. Searches and transcription reset at the start of each calendar month in UTC, with no rollover. Media capacity is a retained balance and does not reset monthly.
A new advanced search that requires fresh processing counts once. Opening saved history or returning a cached answer without fresh processing does not use another search. The same completed retry is not counted twice, and failed provider work does not consume a completed search.
Transcription uses processed audio duration. Discovery dictation and project transcription share the account allowance. If a request cannot fit, check the time remaining before trying again. Existing transcripts remain readable.
Regular search, listening, saved work and purchases remain available. Wait for the reset shown in Usage or manage media if storage is full. There are no automatic overage charges or allowance-triggered deletions.
Signed-out visitors can try 5 advanced searches and 1 minute of transcription in total. Create a free account or sign in when the trial ends to continue with the account allowance.
