Connect and troubleshoot a custom domain

A custom domain gives your Pro storefront a branded address while the default SoundSeam URL remains available.

Connect the domain

1. Open Pro settings and add the hostname exactly as visitors should use it.
2. Copy the DNS records SoundSeam provides into your domain provider.
3. Leave mail-related MX, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records untouched.
4. Return to SoundSeam and check verification.

DNS changes can take time to propagate. Keep the default SoundSeam address available while the custom domain is pending.

If verification fails

Check for:

• a conflicting A, AAAA, or CNAME record on the same hostname
• a record name that includes the domain twice
• a proxy setting that changes the DNS value
• records added to the wrong DNS provider
• an apex domain configured with a subdomain record, or the reverse

Do not repeatedly delete and recreate the domain while DNS is propagating. That can replace the expected verification values.

After verification

Open the custom domain in a private browser window and test the home page, beat pages, search, cart, contact form, and legal pages. Confirm HTTPS loads without a warning.

If verification remains pending, contact support with the domain, DNS provider, record names and values, and the status shown. You may mask unrelated records.
