Capture a vocal idea against the beat, understand microphone permissions, and recover a failed recording.
Project voice notes let you capture an idea beside the beat. When recorded against the active beat, SoundSeam can preserve the beat position so the idea plays back in context.
Do not close the tab while the note is still uploading.
Use the lyric recording or transcription action when you want spoken or sung words converted into editable text. Treat the result as a draft: names, slang, timing, and layered vocals may need correction.
Open the browser's site permissions for SoundSeam, allow microphone access, and reload the project. Close another app that may have exclusive control of the microphone.
Keep the project open and use the retry action. If retry remains unavailable, make a short test recording after refreshing. Avoid deleting the failed card until you know the local recording cannot be recovered.
For repeated failure, tell support the project ID, browser, device, recording length, approximate time, and exact error. Do not send private project audio through the general contact form unless support provides a secure path.
