Use free downloads to build your audience

Free downloads can turn interest in a beat into a permission-based audience relationship.

Enable free downloads

Open the beat editor and turn on Allow free downloads. The listener completes the free-download flow instead of a paid licence checkout.

Leads are saved in SoundSeam even when no external email destination is connected.

Connect an email destination

Open Settings and go to the email or audience section. Connect a supported destination such as Mailchimp, Kit, or Klaviyo when it is available for your account, then choose where new contacts should go.

If contacts do not sync

Check that:

1. the integration still shows connected
2. an audience or destination is selected
3. the provider has not revoked access
4. the contact is eligible and has not already used the same offer
5. the provider is not rejecting the address or required fields

The SoundSeam lead record and provider sync are separate. A contact can be captured successfully even when the external sync needs attention.

Use the audience responsibly

Tell listeners what they are signing up for, send the promised file, and honor unsubscribe requests. Do not import unrelated contacts into the free-download flow or use it to bypass your email provider's consent rules.
